Who is Genesis Church?

Genesis church began in 2015 with a simple mission: Reaching people in Audrain County who have no church home and helping them find a new life in Christ. Even our name, “Genesis,” means “beginning.” When we begin our life in Christ, the Bible tells us “the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

When and where do you meet?

Genesis Church meets at the Mexico YMCA (1127 Adams Street).

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10am.

Our service is livestreamed on Facebook and at genesischurchmo.online.church.

We also have life groups throughout the week in various places.

What about my kids?

At Genesis Church, our top priorities for children are safety, security, care, learning, and having fun! We provide caring, secure environments for kids of all ages. Our GenKids ministry has nursery and preschool ministries from birth to five years old, and an elementary ministry from kindergarten to 5th grade. No matter what age your kids are, they will be safely checked in and out to kids’ leaders that have been background-checked and trained in safety. They will also all get the opportunity to hear about Christ on their levels!

What should I expect?

Genesis Church’s services are about an hour in length. We will pray, sing, listen to the Bible being taught, and learn how to apply that teaching to our everyday lives. You will never be singled out by being asked to stand, wear a name tag, or do anything else that will make you feel uneasy. We will, however, try to make you feel at home. After the service, head to our welcome center where we’ll have a gift for you.

What should I wear?

You will never get singled out for your clothes. Most people wear casual to business casual clothes. Occasionally, you may find a suit and a nice dress in the crowd. The bottom line, be modest and wear what you are comfortable in. The issue is not what’s on the outside, but on the inside.
