Our Values
Loving God
We value having an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ both personally and corporately involving worship, prayer, study of God’s Word and obedience to His will.
Teaching the Truth
We value teaching the truth to both believer and non-believer in creative and relevant ways believing God’s Word is the key to transformed lives that reflect the greatness of Christ.
Equipping to Tell
We value the responsibility of equipping believers with the tools and skills to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others in a loving and humble, but confident manner.
Giving Generously
We value giving generously that is an overflow of Christ’s love enabling believers to die to self and forfeit their own rights, time, possessions, and preferences for the building of God’s kingdom.
Developing Friendships
We value relationships beginning with God’s simple command to love one another resulting in caring and encouraging friendships with believers and non-believers.
Serving Passionately
We value the attitude of enthusiastic service allowing God to use your spiritual gifting, heart and passion for ministry, natural abilities, personality, and experiences to minister and bless others.
Growing Spiritually
We value an intentional, strategic, and relational process of spiritual growth where the Holy Spirit moves us from being spiritually dead to spiritually mature followers of Christ.
Scripture
We believe the Bible is inspired by God, focuses on Christ, contains no errors, and has complete authority over our lives. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Pet. 1:21)
God
We believe that there is only one God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the creator of the universe, redeemer of all believers and is all-knowing, all- powerful, and present everywhere (Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22)
Jesus
We believe Jesus is the incarnation of God, born of the virgin Mary, that He is both God and man, that He never sinned, and that He performed miracles. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead so that sins can be forgiven. Jesus is now with the Father in heaven but will someday return to earth in power and glory. (John 1:1; Philippians 2:5-6; Luke 1:26-38; Heb. 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Cor. 15:3; Matt. 28:6; Acts 1:9-11)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every Christian and that He provides the power for living a Christ-like life that honors God. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 13:12; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8; 1 Cor. 12:1-13; Eph. 5:18)
Humanity
We believe that all people are created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became separated in that relationship through sin and their only hope of reconciliation is through Christ. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Galatians 3:22; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation
We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole person, and is offered freely to all who surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Rom. 10:13-15; Eph. 2:8; Gal. 4:6)
Christian
We believe that a Christian is a follower of Christ and that all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obeying God’s commands as found in the Bible and by yielding daily to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:20-26; John 14:23-24; Romans 12:1-3)
Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. The members of the church are those who have placed their faith in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world. (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18; Matt. 28:18-20)
Eternity
We believe that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will live eternally with God (in heaven), and that those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will live eternally without God (in hell). (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20; 20:1-15; 21:8)
Spiritual Warfare
We believe there is a real enemy called Satan who has a demonic army that opposes Christ, His mission, and His people by lying, deceiving, and misleading people from God’s truth and will. However, through Christ we can overcome and live victorious lives no matter what Satan may try to attempt. (Ezekiel 28:11-19; Eph. 6:1-12; Matt. 4:1-10; 2 Cor. 11:14; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8)
